Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer
Jane Fusilero, R.N., M.S.N., MBA, N.E.A.-B.C., has been vice president and chief nursing officer at Moffitt Cancer Center since 2011. In her role, she is responsible for more than 1,000 nurses among Moffitt’s team members in clinical care, research and administration. During her tenure, Moffitt gained Magnet® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2015. The elite Magnet® status recognizes a hospital’s nursing excellence. Just over 400 health care organizations around the globe and only 18 in Florida have achieved this distinction.
Previously, Fusilero was vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer at the MetroHealth System in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2000. In this role, she helped MetroHealth achieve Magnet® designation in 2005, and redesignation in 2010. She began her tenure at MetroHealth as the director of pre-op, perioperative areas, trauma/critical care/medical-surgical units in 1994.
Fusilero earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Kent State University. In addition, she holds an MBA from the Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.
