Mother and daughter

If you recently completed your cancer treatment, now is a perfect time to pause and celebrate everything that’s good in your life. It’s also a great time to reflect on your health and well-being.

For many, the end of treatment can bring about mixed feelings. There is the relief of finishing treatment combined with the anxiety of your cancer possibly coming back.

Life After Cancer

Going back to "normal" after cancer treatment can be quite emotional. Each person will cope differently. Many people are understandably concerned their cancer may return or find it difficult to manage their daily responsibilities that were put on hold during their treatment.

Emotional support is key for not only cancer survivors but also their families. Studies have found that people who take part in support groups have an improved quality of life.

As you embark on this new chapter as a cancer survivor, your team at Moffitt Cancer Center will be an excellent resource for information on how to achieve and maintain your optimum health.

As survivors travel through the phases of their cancer journey, Moffitt’s Survivorship Program can help address many of the challenges.
