Molecular Genomics

The Molecular Genomics Core provides high-quality genomics services supporting discovery and clinical science research to identify molecular components and signatures associated with cancer biology and in response to therapy. The highly trained Core staff provides expertise in a variety of instrumentation platforms and cutting-edge technology, including guidance in study design and grant preparation. The Molecular Genomics Core works closely with other Cores to provide seamless integration of sample preparation and isolation into molecular workflows with coordination of downstream analyses by the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource.

Next-Generation Sequencing

• Targeted DNA sequencing: Amplicon and Hybridization-based
• Single cell DNA- and RNA-seq: 10X Genomics GEM-X and MissionBio Tapestri
• Spatial transcriptomics: 10x Genomics Visium HD and NanoString GeoMx
• Nanopore long-read DNA- and RNA-seq

Microarray

• NanoString nCounter: Gene expression and microRNA analysis
• Affymetrix arrays: Human and Mouse 3’IVT and WT, miRNA, CytoScan and OncoScan CNV
• Illumina Bead array: MethylationEPIC v2 and Genotyping

Cell Line QC Analysis

• Cell line authentication (STR analysis)
• Mycoplasma testing

Location

The Molecular Genomics Core is located on the Moffitt Magnolia campus in the Moffitt Research Center (MRC), 1^st floor, Room 1302, with a satellite core on the Moffitt Speros campus in the Discovery and Innovation Center.

Investigators are highly encouraged to include individual Core staff who significantly contribute to or participate in a project in the list of authors.
