David and Vesta's Story

David had seen seven different doctors in four different states before finally receiving his cancer diagnosis. He and Vesta knew they had to get to Moffitt so he could receive the best treatment. They finally had a plan and were ready to move through treatment when Vesta received her own leukemia diagnosis.

The couple battled side-by-side with the help of their loving family, Moffitt team members, and they relied heavily on their faith to get them through. Throughout the experience, they wore matching St. Benedict medallions as a reminder of their shared courage.
