Anesthesia team members at Moffitt

Moffitt Cancer Center’s Anesthesia team provides services for over 10,000 procedures a year. Our anesthetic approach is unique to each type of oncologic surgery allowing us to provide specialized care for genitourinary, neuro, thoracic, gynecologic, breast, orthopedic, sarcoma, ENT, esophageal, pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery. We also have the privilege of providing anesthesia to non-surgical patients during endoscopy, colonoscopy, and bone marrow biopsies.

Our team collaborates with surgeons and other specialists to perform preoperative assessment and optimization of surgical patients, guide patients safely through surgery and minimize postoperative pain.

Our anesthesiologists are board certified and many have specialty training in the areas of critical care medicine, acute pain and regional anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia and chronic pain.

Moffitt’s mission to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer, is exhibited in our clinical care, research and education. We continue to be a leader in the field of anesthesia for cancer patients.

Moffitt offers advanced training to anesthesiologists through the Onco-Anesthesiology Fellowship Program.
