Individualized treatment plans for gynecologic cancer patients

At Moffitt, our gynecologic oncologists develop highly individualized treatment plans for women who are diagnosed with or have a heightened risk of developing:

A key advantage of working with one of the gynecologic oncologists at Moffitt is that all of a patient’s treatments – whether that includes surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy or any combination thereof – can be overseen by a single oncologist who is both an experienced surgeon and a medical oncologist. This unique approach has helped Moffitt to continually achieve favorable outcomes, as well as a better quality of life for our patients.

Gynecologic precancerous conditions

Our gynecologic services also include the treatment of precancerous lesions of the vulva, vagina, cervix, and uterus dysplasia as well as some benign conditions and genetic risk syndromes.

Some of our precancerous services include:

  • Diagnostic examination or biopsy of new gynecologic lesions, hormone replacement therapy or menopausal symptom management for women with non-gynecologic cancer (for example, breast, colon, lung)
  • Medical and surgical options for women at elevated risk of gynecologic cancer such as BRCA mutation, Lynch syndrome and family history of gynecologic cancer
  • Gynecologic surgery for benign concerns such as ovarian masses or symptomatic fibroids

Our specialist can coordinate with a patient's gynecologist to ensure their course of treatment is as seamless as possible.
