Employer Matching Gifts
Double your impact! Many companies offer matching gift programs where they match charitable donations their employees or retirees make dollar-for-dollar. As a donor to Moffitt, this means your investment in life-saving cancer research and patient care will go even further.
Does your company offer a matching gift program? If so, each donation you make to Moffitt could be doubled or even tripled!
It’s easy to set up employer matching gifts for your donations to Moffitt. To get started:
STEP 1 – Ask your employer about matching gifts
Visit your employer’s website, Corporate Philanthropy Department or Human Resources Office directly to find out if they offer a matching gift program. If they don’t, share this link with them so they can see what a difference it could make in the lives of cancer patients and their families. Or learn about additional ways your workplace can join Moffitt in the fight against cancer.
STEP 2 - Apply for your match
If your company offers matching gifts, follow their instructions on how to initiate a match for your donations and submit the appropriate form(s). For most companies, this means simply completing an online or paper form and returning it to the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation.
STEP 3 - Send us your forms
Once your employer is ready to match your donations to Moffitt, you can submit the necessary information through your company’s online portal (if available), or if necessary, scan copies and send them to MatchingGifts@Moffitt.org or mail to:

STEP 4 – We’ll take it from here!
Once your match is confirmed by our matching gift department, it will be submitted and your company will send the matching donation directly to Moffitt. You will be notified by mail once we receive the matching gift donation from your company.

Matching Gifts - FAQ
How long does it take for a matching gift to be processed?
Once your gift to Moffitt has been processed in our system, then we can confirm your matching gift request with your company. Once gifts are confirmed, payment times can vary by company.
I need Moffitt Cancer Center’s tax ID number (EIN) and/or W-9 letter to apply for a matching gift.
The Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation’s Tax ID number (EIN) is 59-3238636. Please contact MatchingGifts@Moffitt.org or (813) 745-1403 to obtain Moffitt Cancer Center’s W-9 document.
I’m a Miles for Moffitt participant. Will my matching gift be added to my fundraising total?
Yes! Matching gifts are automatically added to the same fundraising page that the original donation was made to. Please allow several weeks after submitting your match request for it to appear on your page.
How can I check the status of my matching gift?
If your company uses an online portal, you can often check the status via your workplace intranet. If that is not an option for you, please contact MatchingGifts@Moffitt.org or (813) 745-1403. Be sure to include your company name, original gift amount, and original gift date in any correspondence to help us best assist you.
Why wasn’t my matching gift approved?
It can take several weeks for matching gifts to be confirmed and for your company to then issue payment. In other cases, your company’s match policies may prohibit approval of the match. Please contact your Corporate Philanthropy Department or Human Resources Office for guidelines with your company’s matching gifts program.
