Kelley Gonzalvo, DNP, MSN, RN, CCRN-K

Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer

Kelley Gonzalvo, DNP, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, is the vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Moffitt Cancer Center. She has more than 30 years of experience in nursing, with 21 years in nursing leadership.

In her role, she works with nursing leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that improve the quality of care delivered to Moffitt’s patients. She oversees the continuing education and developmental needs of nursing teams. She meets with key constituents including patients, families, team members and physicians to ensure nursing operations result in exemplary patient care. She oversees nursing policies and procedures that are consistent with regulatory standards and participates with stakeholders to create an environment that encourages recruitment and retention of nursing staff.

During her tenure at Moffitt, Gonzalvo has been instrumental in the successful opening of the Immune Cell Therapy inpatient and outpatient unit, the development and implementation of a controlled substance diversion program that The Joint Commission has recognized as a best practice and the development of a COVID-19 surge plan for critical care.

Gonzalvo has a Doctor of Nursing Practice, a master’s in nursing education and a bachelor’s in nursing. She holds a Critical Care Knowledge Professional certification. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Organization for Nursing Leadership.
