Christine Alvero

Vice President, Hospital Operations at Moffitt McKinley Hospital

Christine Alvero, DPT, MBA, FACHE, is vice president of Hospital Operations at Moffitt McKinley Hospital. In this role, she works with Moffitt’s chief nursing officer and chief medical officer to develop and implement strategic initiatives to maximize efficiencies, quality, and patient and staff experiences at Moffitt McKinley Hospital. She oversees all operations at the hospital, including Moffitt’s continued growth of the McKinley campus. 

In her 20 years at Moffitt, Alvero has held a variety of leadership positions. Most recently she was senior director of Therapy Services and successfully led the operational readiness planning of Moffitt McKinley Hospital. 

She is board-certified in oncology physical therapy and has several certifications through the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She has earned a black belt in Lean Six Sigma and is a certified scrum master. 

Alvero holds a doctorate degree in physical therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She also has a bachelor’s degree in wellness leadership from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in health care from Saint Leo University. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University.
