Amy Durham

Vice President, Human Resources Operations

As Moffitt Cancer Center’s vice president of Human Resources Operations, Amy Durham oversees a diverse workforce of 9,000 team members across Moffitt’s four campuses, while planning for Moffitt’s talent needs of the future. She is responsible for leading all facets of Moffitt’s human capital, including: compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, performance management, and talent acquisition and management, all of which enable Moffitt to recruit, train, reward and retain a high-performing and motivated workforce.

In her nearly 20 years at Moffitt, Durham has held several roles within the Human Resources department, from talent acquisition and employee relations to benefits and total rewards. As the cancer center has grown, she has been instrumental in ensuring Moffitt’s team member talent programs have evolved and remain best in class. Prior to joining Moffitt, Durham worked for WellStar Health System, a non-profit health system that is among the largest in Georgia. During her tenure at WellStar, she recruited and provided employee and labor relations services to the physician practices and urgent care centers.  

Durham has a Bachelor’s of Science in education from the University of Georgia, achieving first honor graduate, summa cum laude.

She was also named the 2016 HR Person of the Year, in the large organizations category, by HR Shield.

Since 2005, Moffitt has earned top workplace honors from numerous publications, including Becker’s Hospital Review, Computerworld, Florida Trend, Tampa Bay Times, Science magazine, Working Mother magazine and WorkplaceDynamics. Moffitt is also ranked among DiversityInc’s Top Hospitals and Healthcare Organizations for fostering diversity and inclusion, based upon a rigorous, data-driven survey gauging detailed demographics based on race/ethnicity and gender at some of the largest U.S. employers.
