Jack McKenna

Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Jack McKenna is the senior vice president and chief human resources officer (CHRO) at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is responsible for leading the cancer center’s Human Resources team, managing all HR strategies and functions and overseeing a diverse workforce of more than 9,000 team members across the enterprise.

As CHRO, McKenna leads the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs, serves as a champion for Moffitt’s organizational culture and team member engagement, and provides strategic vision and leadership. As an advisor to the executive leadership team, he provides coaching and direction in the areas of engagement; diversity, equity and inclusion; organizational design; change management; and learning and development.

Prior to joining Moffitt, McKenna spent nearly 40 years in human resources and organizational development roles, most recently serving as chief human resources officer at Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc., a national geotechnical engineering firm with more than 3,000 employees.

Jack holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a master's in management, personnel and employee relations from Georgia State University.
