Moffitt Cancer Center is a proud partner of the Tampa Bay Lightning! Throughout hockey season, Moffitt and the Tampa Bay Lightning team up for community events aimed at raising awareness for cancer.

50/50 Raffles

Those interested in supporting cancer research at Moffitt can contribute through the Lightning’s 50/50 game day raffles. Look for the 50/50 raffle kiosks throughout the Amalie Arena during Lightning home games to purchase a ticket. A portion of the proceeds from the 50/50 raffles benefits the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation.

Hockey Fights Cancer

The Lightning are committed to cancer awareness all season long. Each year, the team hosts Hockey Fights Cancer night, an NHL initiative aimed at raising awareness for all cancers. Moffitt team members and cancer survivors are honored throughout the night during this special event.

Kancer Jam

Tampa Bay Lightning stars Ryan McDonagh and Alex Killorn hosted Kancer Jam in downtown Tampa on Feb. 7, 2020. With help from their Bolts teammates, the fundraising event raised more than $102,000 for Moffitt Cancer Center's Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program.
