Moffitt’s Commitment to Ethics and Compliance

Moffitt Cancer Center is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct. Members of the Moffitt community should conduct their activities as required by law and Moffitt policies. Each department is responsible for monitoring applicable laws, developing and maintaining appropriate procedures, and communicating those policies and procedures to the Moffitt community.

About the Corporate Compliance Program

The Corporate Compliance Program is operated under the Corporate Compliance Steering Committee. The Chief Compliance Officer and the Corporate Compliance team, working in close collaboration with the steering committee and other team members as needed, are responsible for organizing, supervising, and/or conducting many of the activities necessary for the operation of the program. The steering committee is a multidisciplinary group that provides oversight, advice, and general guidance on corporate compliance issues and reports directly to the Joint Corporate Compliance Committee of the Board. The steering committee is involved in all significant issues related to compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and the Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct.

Joint Corporate Compliance Committee of the Board

The Joint Corporate Compliance Committee of the Board is a subcommittee of Moffitt’s governing boards and ensures that the center has adopted and implemented policies and procedures that require its workforce to act in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, medical/health standards, and various Institutional policies and procedures.
