At Moffitt Cancer Center, patients who have been diagnosed with lymphoma can consult with a specialist (or more accurately, an entire team of specialists) to make the most informed treatment decisions possible. As a high-volume cancer center, Moffitt has treated many cancers involving the blood and bone marrow, and our doctors have seen thousands of lymphomas – including many rare and complex variants. As a result, we have the expertise necessary to provide each individual who turns to us for lymphoma treatment with comprehensive medical attention.

Within Moffitt’s Malignant Hematology Program, a number of our lymphoma specialists have been nationally recognized for their contributions to medical research, such as their work in developing immunotherapy treatment options and investigating diagnostic biomarkers. Patients who entrust their treatment to a Moffitt lymphoma specialist are positioning themselves to receive the most advanced options available.

While our patients are paired with a primary lymphoma specialist who is responsible for overseeing the entirety of their treatment, they will also be able to consult with several other experienced medical professionals, including:

  • Medical oncologists, who create chemotherapy plans, and oncology nurses who administer the chemo medications
  • Radiation oncologists, who design radiation therapy plans, and radiation therapists who deliver the treatments
  • Supportive care providers, who ensure patients have access to all the additional services they need to ensure a high quality of life throughout treatment

Also integral to our comprehensive services are our on-site pathologists, who review diagnostic blood tests and other laboratory cell samples. These doctors work continuously behind the scenes to detect lymphomas in their earliest stages of development, and also monitor each patient’s response to treatment on an ongoing basis. We have a team of pathologists who work exclusively with blood and bone marrow cancers, and as such understand precisely what to look for when analyzing a patient’s test results.

To request an appointment with a lymphoma specialist at Moffitt, call 1-888-663-3488 or submit a new patient registration form online. You do not need a referral to visit with a Moffitt Cancer Center lymphoma doctor.
