Glioblastoma is a fast-spreading form of brain cancer that requires a comprehensive treatment approach. Many patients will receive a combination of surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Another treatment option that has been shown to help patients with glioblastoma is immunotherapy. Immunotherapy works with your body to encourage your immune system to recognize, target and destroy cancer cells. It’s a promising therapy that is especially beneficial for patients with recurrent or advanced glioblastoma.
