Moffitt Cancer Center has joined 69 other NCI-designated cancer centers in issuing a statement urging for increased HPV vaccination for the prevention of cancer. These institutions collectively recognize insufficient vaccination as a public health threat.
Young men and women up to age 26, who were not previously vaccinated are encouraged to get the HPV vaccine series. Health care providers should also make clear and strong recommendations for HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening.
