Mohamed Elboraey, M.B., B.Ch., is a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, specializing in minimally invasive treatments for cancer, complex venous disease, and portal hypertension. He cares for patients with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma), liver metastases, kidney tumors, prostate enlargement (BPH), prostate cancer, uterine fibroids and tumors, painful bone metastases, portal vein thrombosis, portal hypertension, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism, and cancer-related bleeding.
His clinical expertise includes complex endovascular reconstruction of the portal venous, iliocaval, and central venous systems, including portal vein reconstruction, iliocaval reconstruction, central venous reconstruction, and advanced venous and arterial recanalization procedures. He performs Y-90 radioembolization, transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), image-guided thermal and non-thermal tumor ablation for liver and kidney cancers, uterine artery embolization, prostate artery embolization, nerve blocks and neurolysis for cancer pain, and minimally invasive treatment of painful bone metastases using embolization, tumor ablation, cementoplasty, and percutaneous fixation.
Dr. Elboraey completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency with early specialization in Interventional Radiology at Mayo Clinic, followed by advanced fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, one of the nation’s leading programs in complex endovascular and oncologic interventions. His research focuses on liver-directed therapies, pulmonary embolism, venous reconstruction, and interventional oncology, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and awards recognizing his contributions to patient care and innovation. He is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care while offering advanced minimally invasive treatment options that can reduce recovery time and improve quality of life for patients throughout Florida.
