Moffitt Cancer Center's ambitious approach to research and facilitating breakthroughs in cancer treatment is one of the many reasons why referring physicians trust us with their patients' care. Research is a vital part of our Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Immunotherapy Program, where our multispecialty team is continually exploring progressive treatment options through innovative clinical trials.

Moffitt patients who are eligible to participate in a clinical trial benefit from some of the latest advancements in treatment before they are made available elsewhere. Our BMT and Cellular Immunotherapy Program clinical trials focus extensively on stem cell transplantation, innovative cellular and other immunotherapies, in addition to novel treatment combinations for patients with a wide array of hematological conditions and solid tumors.

Our commitment to improving patient outcomes

Moffitt is a nationally recognized leader in hematological cancer and immunotherapy research. Our program is among the largest and most active in the Southeast and is a core member of the BMT Clinical Trials Network. We are the largest center for commercial chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) cell administration by volume and Moffitt is also the only Florida-based practice to be recognized as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute—a distinction that highlights our unrelenting commitment to improving cancer treatment options and enhancing the quality of life for the patients we serve.
