ORIEN logo

The Oncology Research Information Exchange Network® (ORIEN) is a unique research partnership among top national academic cancer centers that recognize collaboration and access to quality data are the keys to cancer discovery. Founded by Moffitt Cancer Center and The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute, ORIEN® members share data across institutions and collaborate on research projects to generate novel insights that power oncology breakthroughs.

Together with Aster Insights, ORIEN® leads the world’s largest and longest-running observational research study in oncology, Total Cancer Care® (TCC), which has enrolled nearly half a million patients representing all types of cancer. TCC gathers patient molecular, clinical, and epidemiological data, to form a comprehensive understanding of a patient’s cancer. TCC® is unique because patients provide lifetime consent to their health information, which helps inform not only each patient’s treatment options throughout their personal journey but also supports critical research and discovery in oncology. This ever-growing and continually updated multimodal dataset provides researchers with a longitudinal view of patient insights to accelerate the development of cancer cures.

ORIEN’s mission: Accelerating cancer discovery and delivering hope through collaborative learning and partnerships.
