According to the National Institutes of Health, cervical cancer is the sixth most commonly diagnosed cancer in Puerto Rico, but it is preventable. Since the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) causes nearly all cases of cervical cancer, the HPV vaccine, along with regular cervical screenings, may wipe out this type of cancer. Yet, many people are not being vaccinated.

Join Dr. Anna Giuliano on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino for a free seminar about eliminating HPV-related diseases, starting with cervical cancer. This event is part of the Puerto Rico Advisory Council at Moffitt Cancer Center, which hosts free cancer education lectures twice a year on the island.

This free breakfast event is presented in Spanish. To register, visit Moffitt.org/PRevent or call 813-745-8550. For additional information, email PuertoRico@Moffitt.org.
