Moffitt Cancer Center Offers Free Head, Neck and Oral Cancer Screenings in Puerto Rico
TAMPA, Fla. (April 8, 2019) — Did you know more Puerto Ricans are diagnosed with thyroid cancer than ever before? According to the American Cancer Society, women are three times more likely to develop the disease than men.
Join Dr. Julie Hallanger-Johnson on Saturday, May 4, at the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino in Puerto Rico for a free seminar about managing thyroid nodules. This event is part of the Puerto Rico Advisory Council at Moffitt Cancer Center, which hosts cancer education lectures twice a year on the island.
Free head, neck and oral cancer screenings will be available for registered guests from 8 to 9:30 a.m. prior to the educational program and again from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
