Moffitt Cancer Center Named Top 10 in Nation by Newsweek

TAMPA, Fla. — Moffitt Cancer Center has been named to Newsweek’s 2023 list of “America’s Best Cancer Hospitals.” Moffitt is ranked No. 10 in the nation and is the top-ranked cancer hospital in Florida and the Southeast.

The America’s Best Cancer Hospitals ranking was created to provide patients and family members with a comprehensive resource for informed decision making. The underlying data analysis is based on three data sources:

Nationwide online survey: Health care professionals and hospital managers with knowledge about oncology (e.g., oncologists, hematologists and oncology nurses) were asked to recommend leading cancer hospitals in the U.S.
Hospital quality metric: Hospital quality metrics with a focus on indicators relevant to oncology care were considered.
Results from patient surveys: Publicly available data from hospital patient surveys were used to analyze patient experience.

The Newsweek ranking comes on the heels of other accolades for Moffitt. The cancer center is one of Forbes’ America’s Best Large Employers, among Becker’s Hospital Review’s 150 top places to work in healthcare and is a Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace.
