Moffitt Cancer Center was recently named one of HealthCare’s Most Wired organizations for 2019 by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). This is the second year CHIME surveyed more than 16,000 health care organizations to identify and recognize those that exemplify best practices through their adoption, implementation and use of technology.

"I am thrilled that Moffitt has been recognized for our technological efforts that help us deliver an exceptional patient experience," said Moffitt’s Chief Financial and Administrative Officer Yvette Tremonti. "At Moffitt, we strive to ensure that our patients can connect with us through innovative technology solutions that are secure and make it easy for them to get the care they need."

This is the first year CHIME recognized Moffitt as one of the Most Wired organizations. Moffitt achieved a level 7 special recognition for its hospital and ambulatory efforts.

"Health care organizations across the globe are continually striving to raise the standard of care, pushing themselves and their peers to do better," said CHIME President and CEO Russ Branzell. "We designed Most Wired to identify and share those leading practices so everyone can benefit. It is an honor to be among those that perform at the highest levels, knowing that the excellence they achieve will impact patients for years to come."

As a level 7 winner, Moffitt will be recognized at the 2019 CHIME Fall CIO Forum. Moffitt will also be highlighted in the November issue of a Most Wired, Modern Healthcare Special Edition.
