For the fourth year, Moffitt Cancer Center has been named one of the Insider Pro and Computerworld 2020 Best Places to Work in IT. This awards program showcases organizations with innovating IT departments that offer not only great benefits and compensation, but also a stimulating work environment. The selection is based on the excellence and quality of the IT workplace.

This year Moffitt ranked 34 among large organizations on the list.

“We are proud to be recognized as a best place to work in IT for the fourth consecutive year,” said Beth Lindsay-Wood, Moffitt’s vice president and chief information officer.  “Our information technology team is amazing and demonstrates our commitment to providing the innovative services and technologies necessary to advance our mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.”

Since 1994, the annual Best Places to Work in IT feature has ranked the top 100 work environments for technology professionals. The list is based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training and retention. An extensive survey is also given to IT workers, which plays a huge part in the companies’ rankings.

“As technology continues to evolve more rapidly than ever, attracting and retaining top IT talent to research, deploy and maintain that technology has never been more important or more challenging,” said Dan Muse, editor of IDG’s Insider Pro. “Companies that have earned a spot on the Insider Pro and Computerworld 2020 Best Places to Work in IT list share a common denominator: They create an environment that not only rewards workers with competitive compensation and benefits, but they also foster a spirit of diversity, social responsibility, training and innovation.”
