TAMPA, Fla. — The National Association for Business Resources has recognized Moffitt Cancer Center as one of the Fall 2021 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation.

Applications for the award are offered in the spring, summer, fall and winter. Moffitt is one of 167 organizations from across the country to be honored out of 1,500 nominations for the fall.

This is the fifth year that the cancer center has appeared on the list, which highlights organizations that display a commitment to excellence in their human resources practices and employee enrichment. Organizations are assessed based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition and retention.

“Being nominated for the Best and Brightest award for the fifth consecutive year is truly an honor. It is a reflection of our commitment to our team members,” said Mariana Bugallo-Muros, Moffitt vice president and chief human resources officer. “At Moffitt, it is our goal to create an engaging environment where our team members are not only thriving but also growing as individuals.”

With over 20 years of experience conducting the Best and Brightest competitions, the National Association for Business Resources has identified numerous human resources best practices and provided benchmarking for companies that continue to be leaders in employment standards.

“The Best and Brightest is a powerful community of elite leaders who share ideas and practices, and have proven they are employers of choice. Best and Brightest winning companies have also been a voice for important actions in creating a sustainable culture that works, ensuring the wellbeing of their employees come first,” said Jennifer Kluge, president and CEO, Best and Brightest Programs.
