TAMPA, Fla. – Jack McKenna has joined Moffitt Cancer Center as the new chief human resources officer. In his role, he will be responsible for leading the cancer center’s Human Resources team and overseeing all HR strategies and functions.

As CHRO, McKenna will manage the development and implementation of best-in-class HR initiatives and programs, serve as a champion for Moffitt’s organizational culture, elevate team member engagement and satisfaction, and provide strategic vision and leadership. He will serve as an advisor to the executive leadership team, providing coaching and direction in the areas of engagement; diversity, equity and inclusion; organizational design; change management; and learning and development.

McKenna brings nearly 40 years of experience in human resources and organizational development to the role, most recently serving as chief human resources officer at Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc., a national geotechnical engineering firm. Prior to that, he served as chief human resources officer at Rotech Healthcare, Inc., for 11 years. He has also served in leadership roles for notable brands like The Walt Disney Company, Porsche Cars North America, Inc., and Deloitte.

McKenna holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a master’s in management, personnel and employee relations from Georgia State University.
