TAMPA, Fla.— Evan Zaslow has joined Moffitt Cancer Center as the new vice president of Payer Strategies. In his role, he will oversee all aspects of Moffitt’s managed care strategy, which includes contract negotiations, reimbursement, contractual language and terms in accordance with Moffitt’s established goals.

Bringing more than 17 years of acquisition and negotiation experience to the cancer center, he will lead the development of payer strategies to advance strategic partnerships, care delivery and service reimbursement models, direct to employer strategies, enterprise business line integration, and overall efforts to innovate payer strategies to maximize value for Moffitt. 

“We are very fortunate to have Evan join the Moffitt team,” said Yvette Tremonti, CPA, MBA, Moffitt’s chief financial and administrative officer. “His extensive years of experience in managed care will play a critical role in the success of Moffitt’s strategic plan as we continue to partner with payers and other organizations.”   

Before joining Moffitt, Zaslow served as the chief of the Managed Care Support Branch and contracting officer for the Defense Health Agency. He was responsible for the oversight of contract administration for the entire TRICARE Managed Care contract portfolio, which includes the largest single award service contract in the Department of Defense. 

Zaslow holds a master’s certificate in contract management from The George Washington University, a master’s degree in acquisition management from American Graduate University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Western Washington University. He is also a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) from the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
