TAMPA, Fla. Elizabeth “Beth” Lindsay-Wood, MBA, CHCIO, has joined Moffitt Cancer Center as vice president and chief information officer (CIO). She will be responsible for leading Moffitt’s information technology teams and preparing the organization to accelerate its digital transformation.

Lindsay-Wood will oversee Moffitt’s IT infrastructure, clinical informatics, cybersecurity and IT applications throughout the enterprise. As CIO, Lindsay-Wood will also play a key leadership role as part of Moffitt’s Digital team, collaborating with the chief data officer and others to develop and apply digital tools to advance oncology care, research, and education in support of Moffitt’s strategic plan IMPACT 2028. She will report to the chief digital innovation officer.

“Moffitt has significantly benefited from Beth’s strong leadership as the interim CIO for the past 10 months,” said Dr. Edmondo Robinson, Moffitt’s senior vice president and chief digital innovation officer. “Her strategy, clinical and business acumen will be a key asset in helping to accelerate Moffitt’s digital transformation.”

Lindsay-Wood brings more than 30 years of CIO/IT executive leadership experience to this role, including senior executive roles in IT at Tampa General Hospital and Sentara Healthcare. As a partner in a health care consulting firm, Beth has provided strategic consulting services to large health care systems and cancer centers across the country, leading transformative clinical and business initiatives.

Lindsay-Wood holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the  University of Tampa and Master of Business Administration from Troy University.
