TAMPA, Fla. — Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been appointed to Moffitt Cancer Center’s national Board of Advisors, a growing group of prominent individuals who serve as Moffitt ambassadors and offer their expertise and counsel on issues relating to the cancer center.

A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Jones’ contributions in marketing, corporate sponsorships, television, stadium management, stadium development, labor negotiations and community service have made a visible imprint on the evolving face of professional sports in America. Along with the success of the Dallas Cowboys on the field, Jones’ vision and leadership provided the driving influence behind the concept, design and construction of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas — a venue that is recognized internationally as perhaps the most spectacular and state-of-the-art sports stadium in the world.

“Jerry is a legend in the sports community,” said Bob Griese, chair of Moffitt’s Board of Advisors and former Miami Dolphins Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback. “I’m excited that he has agreed to join our board, and I know that he will bring a unique perspective to our discussions.”

Jones joins 36 prominent individuals from across the nation on Moffitt’s national Board of Advisors.
