For the fifth time, The Florida Orchestra (TFO) takes its show out of the concert hall and into the hospital offering the magic of music to patients at Moffitt Cancer Center.

The Florida Orchestra’s brass and percussion sections will present “Brass with a Beat” at 11 a.m. Oct. 24 in Moffitt’s Stabile Research Building Atrium. Led by Assistant Conductor Daniel Black, “Brass with a Beat” is a unique concert of fanfare and favorites.

TFO launched its first hospital concert at Moffitt in 2014 and now performs at multiple hospitals and health care facilities offering music to those who may not be able to travel to a concert hall.

The concert ties in with Moffitt’s Arts In Medicine Program, which offers patients and caregivers comfort and well-being in the form of music, painting and other expressive art forms.

This concert is open to Moffitt patients, team members and visitors.
