Sports look a little different this year. No fans in the stands; games played in bubbles. But despite the social distance, Tampa Bay’s mascots came together to spread a little cheer.
For the seventh consecutive year, Captain Fear, ThunderBug, Raymond, DJ Kitty, Pete the Pelican and Rocky found a way to visit Moffitt Cancer Center for the annual Mascots at Moffitt Day. They just did it virtually. Even mascots use Zoom these days!
Though they represent different teams and different sports, the mascots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Rowdies and University of South Florida Bulls know that fighting cancer is a team effort and team Tampa Bay is always ready to show its support.
