  Study Title:

  Transcendental Meditation®: Evaluating its Impact on the Well-being of Oncology Nursing Staff

• Inclusion Criteria

  Key Inclusion Criteria:
  • Direct care role
  • Inpatient, ambulatory, infusion center settings
  • Registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, oncology technician, medical assistant
  • Able to commit to the requirements of the study
  • If taking any prescribed medication, a treatment regimen must be established for at least two months before enrollment
  • Able to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Age 18 years and older

• Exclusion Criteria

  Key Exclusion Criteria:
  • Non-direct care roles, e.g., triage, management
  • Nursing leadership role
  • Student volunteer
  • Previous instruction in TM, defined as completion of the 4-day course of instruction conducted by a certified teacher of a Transcendental Meditation program.
  • Participation in prior TM study
