    Study Title:

    Biobanking for Breast Cancer Prevention and Disparity Research in Florida

    Summary:

    The purpose of the study is to develop a centralized data center and biospecimen infrastructure to support breast cancer prevention research targeted to screening-aged women in the state of Florida. A focus of the research is the "gut microbiome" which is studied in stool.

    Objective:

    In a collaborative project encompassing Moffitt Cancer Center, the University of Florida (UF) and the University of Miami (UM), entitled Florida Research to Prevent Breast Cancer we aim to develop a centralized data center and biospecimen infrastructure to support breast cancer prevention research targeted to screening-aged women in the state of Florida with a focus on the gut microbiome.

  • Inclusion Criteria

    • English or Spanish-speaking
    • Active email address
  • Exclusion Criteria

      > No history of cancer excluding NMSK
    • No oral/IV antibiotics within 30 days and/or
    • No more than two separate antibiotic regimens within the previous three months
