COEE fosters exchange of information between community stakeholders and Moffitt faculty through two Community Advisory Boards (CABs), one that is community-focused and one that is patient-focused, representing the two populations Moffitt serves. The CABs were established in 2005, meet quarterly, and provide opportunities for faculty and community to engage with each other in a community setting or at Moffitt.
Tampa Bay Community Cancer Network (TBCCN)
The Tampa Bay Community Cancer Network is an established community-academic network of 29 diverse partner organizations (i.e. social service, faith-based, adult education, community clinics, federally qualified health centers) created to address critical access, prevention, and control issues among medically under-served, low-literacy, and low-income populations, as well as social determinants of health. During quarterly meetings, community members offer input on research priorities and provide feedback on study materials, recruitment, and dissemination.

Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)
The Patient and Family Advisory Council was developed by Moffitt Leadership to improve the quality, safety and patient experience. Originally developed to address hospital operations issues (e.g., patient satisfaction), PFAC's role now includes feedback and engagement on clinical research and outreach focused on Moffitt patients and survivors. PFAC is unique in that it is the second NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center in the United States to institutionalize a Council comprised of center administrators, faculty, doctors, patient and/or family advisors (12-16 at Moffitt). Through PFAC, workgroups and committees across Moffitt work together to evaluate and improve existing programs, plan for new services and deliver the best care possible. The PFAC is dedicated to growing Moffitt collaborations with patients and family members.
