For the eighth year, the cancer center has been named to DiversityInc’s 2023 Top Hospitals & Health Systems List. The ranking places Moffitt Cancer Center among the nation’s top companies for human capital representation, workplace practices, supplier diversity and leadership accountability. DiversityInc’s annual survey — tracking the nation’s top companies when it comes to hiring, retaining, and promoting women, minorities, people with disabilities, LGBT and veterans — is the most rigorous, data-driven survey of its kind, gauging detailed demographics based on race/ethnicity and gender at some of the largest U.S. employers.


Leader in LGBTQ HealthcareMoffitt Cancer Center has once again been named a Leader in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. This year marks the tenth time that Moffitt has been recognized for its ongoing commitment to this community.

Moffitt remains the only cancer center in Florida on the Healthcare Equality Index (HEI), the national benchmarking tool that evaluates health care facilities’ policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of their LGBTQ+ patients, visitors and employees. The index is based on four criteria: nondiscrimination and staff training, patient services and support, employee benefits and policies, and patient and community engagement and employment nondiscrimination.


MBDA logoMoffitt is the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) 2021 National Minority Enterprise Development Week Award Winner of the Distinguished Supplier Diversity Award. This award is presented to the organization or individual whose business practices have had a significant impact on the growth and development of minority-owned firms.


TBBJ Business of Pride logoThe Tampa Bay Business Journal has recognized Moffitt Cancer Center in its annual Business of Pride edition. The publication celebrates businesses and individuals in Tampa Bay for their ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion with regards to LGBTQ+ inclusive policies and has recognized Moffitt as a 2021 Allied Company.


FSMSDC logoSupplier Diversity was named Local Corporation of the Year by the Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) in 2018. This is the highest award presented to a current local corporate member of the FSMSDC. The Corporation of the Year demonstrates a commitment to minority purchasing, technical & managerial assistance and support of minority programs.


NOD Seal 2020Moffitt Cancer Center received the Leading Disability Employer Seal in 2020 from the National Organization on Disability.  The seal recognizes companies that demonstrate exemplary employment practices for people with disabilities. This annual recognition is designed to applaud those organizations that are leading the way in disability hiring and encourage additional companies to tap into the many benefits of hiring talent with disabilities, including strong consumer preference for companies that employ individuals with disabilities and greater employee engagement across the workforce.
