A daughter visiting her father in the hospital

The well-being and safety of our patients and visitors are our top priority. Moffitt’s visitor check-in process meets the highest standards for patient and visitor safety.

This safety checkpoint system is being used at all visitor entrances of our Magnolia and McKinley campuses. Only visitors, including family members and caregivers, will use this process. Patients can proceed to their appointment or remain with their visitor.

What you should know:

  • All visitors are required to go through the safety checkpoint. This includes visitors accompanying patients and those visiting admitted patients. Patients can stay with their visitor during check-in or proceed directly to their appointment.
  • Visitors must present a government issued identification (just like at airport security). If visitors do not have a valid government issued ID, they will be directed to the security desk for a manual check-in.
  • For your convenience, self-serve kiosks will also be available at public entrances.
  • Visitors will receive a visitor badge sticker that must be visible above the waist.
  • Children under 18 do not require a visitor badge and should always be accompanied by an adult while at Moffitt.

Please note, for BMT-CI and Malignant Hematology inpatient and clinic rooms:

  • Two visitors per day are allowed but no children younger than 12.
  • Masks are required by all patients, visitors and team members.

Masks are available at all entrances, information desks and at registration.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to ensure that patients, family members and caregivers are as safe as possible at Moffitt Cancer Center.
