Moffitt patients can receive top-notch, Moffitt-quality care without leaving the comfort of home. Established patients can interact with clinical care teams through face-to-face video appointments using their computer or via a mobile device.
Virtual Visits are offered by medical oncologists, surgeons, advanced practice professionals (APP), nurses and non-clinical providers such as genetic counselors, and dietitians.

Who can use Virtual Visits?
Anyone who is an established Moffitt patient, accessing care and in relatively stable condition can use Virtual Visits. Moffitt offers Virtual Visits services for patients who are determined eligible by their care team. Click on the informed consent document to learn more about your rights. You can provide your consent verbally.
Will I be charged for my Virtual Visits?
Your out-of-pocket costs for virtual visits will depend on insurance benefits, if applicable. Not all health plans provide coverage for virtual visits so you should check with your plan to determine your specific coverage. If the service is covered, Moffitt will bill in the same manner as a face-to-face office visit. You will receive a statement from us for any applicable co-pays. If you are a self-pay patient, you will receive a statement from us with the charges for your visit. Can I get a prescription through Virtual Visits?
Yes, the visit allows for appropriate prescribing based on the provider’s evaluation.

How do I know if I’m eligible to use this service?
Moffitt knows each patient has unique needs for their care. Ask your providers and clinical team if you are eligible for services to be delivered from an alternative location.
What equipment do I need?
You will need a computer with Google Chrome or a mobile device with an internet connection. If your device doesn’t have a built-in microphone and webcam, you will need those as well.
