• Overview

  Study Title:

  Working through Outreach, Navigation and Digital Enabled Referral and Recruitment Strategies (ACT WONDERS)

  Summary:

  The purpose of the study is to refine, finalize, implement, and evaluate a multi-level intervention aimed at increasing enrollment of Black and Hispanic patients to National Cancer Institute (NCI)-sponsored therapeutic clinic trials at Moffitt Cancer Center.

  Objective:

  1. Refine and finalize the ACT WONDERS intervention components. 2. Implement and evaluate the impact of ACT WONDERS 3. Assess implementation outcomes

• Inclusion Criteria

  • Patient eligibility criteria for Aim 1 interviews:
  • >18 years of age
  • diagnosed with cancer within the last five years
  • self-identify as Black or Hispanic
  • reside in one of the priority zones
  • able to read and speak standard English or Spanish
  • able to provide verbal consent
  • Community Physicians eligibility criteria for Aim 1 interviews:
  • practice medicine in one of the geographic priority zones
  • see patients diagnosed with cancer at any point in their diagnosis trajectory
  • Cancer Center Physicians eligibility criteria for Aim 1 interviews:
  • practice medicine at Moffitt Cancer Center
  • have led at least 1 NCI-sponsored therapeutic clinic trial at Moffitt at the time of the interviews
  • Patient eligibility criteria for Aim 3 interviews:
  • >18 years of age
  • diagnosed with cancer within the last five years
  • self-identify as Black or Hispanic
  • reside in one of the priority zones
  • current patient at Moffitt Cancer Center referred as a result of ACT WONDER²S
  • able to read and speak standard English or Spanish
  • able to provide verbal consent
  • Community Physicians eligibility criteria for Aim 3 interviews:
  • practice medicine in one of the geographic priority zones
  • see patients diagnosed with cancer at any point in their diagnosis trajectory
  • have engaged with at least one of the ACT WONDER²S intervention components
  • Cancer Center Physicians eligibility criteria for Aim 3 interviews:
  • practice medicine at Moffitt Cancer Center
  • have led at least 1 NCI-sponsored therapeutic clinic trial at Moffitt at the time of the interviews
  • have engaged with at least one of the ACT WONDER²S intervention components
  • Community Health Educators (CHEs) eligibility criteria for Aim 3 interviews:
  • are employed by Moffitt Cancer Center
  • are participating in the delivery of ACT WONDER²S intervention

• Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients, Community Physicians, Cancer Center Physicians and Community Health Educators that do not meet the inclusion criteria
