Breast cancer screenings

Cancer screenings are used to detect certain types of cancer early, before they produce any noticeable symptoms. In general, the earlier cancer is detected, the more likely it is to be treated effectively – and the less invasive the treatment will need to be. For this reason, the American Cancer Society recommends that adults receive appropriate cancer screenings on a regular basis as determined by guidelines established for men and women in specific age groups. Digital Mammograms with computer-aided detection (CAD) for women.

Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Outpatient Center at McKinley Campus 

  • Digital Mammograms with computer-aided detection (CAD) for women.
  • Tomosynthesis ("3-D Mammography")
  • Breast MRI
  • Breast Ultrasound
  • DXA Bone Density – a radiology exam that helps determine if the patient has osteoporosis or is at risk for osteoporosis or fracture. It is also used to monitor treatment for osteoporosis and/or the side effects of certain chemotherapies.
  • CT Lung Screening
