Terms and Benefits

The pharmacy practice residency program is 12 months in duration, and the resident must provide a minimum of 2080 hours of service as determined by the Department of Pharmacy and the RAB. Resident schedules will comply with the current duty standards of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). For this commitment, the resident will receive a competitive stipend, health care and other insurance benefits according to MCC employee policy as entitled for a full time exempt employee of the Department of Pharmacy.

The resident will receive twenty-seven (27) Paid-Time-Off (PTO) days which may be used for vacation, holidays, interviews, conferences, and short term illness.  Reimbursement for moving expenses and expenses incurred for attendance at two conferences (ASHP Clinical Midyear Meeting, Florida Residency Conference) will be provided. Additional benefits include unlimited use of the University of South Florida medical library.

The resident will fulfill pharmacy staffing requirements by providing central pharmacy support every third weekend (day shift), one evening shift every three weeks and one major and one minor Moffitt-recognized  holiday.
