Spring Swing®, Moffitt’s Sun Safety Tour, is a partnership between Moffitt Cancer Center and the Tampa Bay Rays, offering free skin cancer screenings at specified baseball spring training venues throughout the state of Florida. Screeners look for early signs of skin cancer while promoting sun safety, skin cancer awareness and education with help from Moffitt's Mole Patrol® team.
Join Moffitt and the Rays for the 2018 Spring Swing® Sun Safety Tour at the following Spring Training venues to receive a free skin cancer screening:
- Sunday, Feb. 25 – Red Sox vs. Orioles, JetBlue Park at Fenway South, Fort Myers - screenings available from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Sunday, March 18 – Tampa Bay Rays vs. Detroit Tigers, Charlotte Sports Park, Port Charlotte – screenings available from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Sunday, March 25 – Minnesota Twins vs. Boston Red Sox, CenturyLink Sports Complex, Fort Myers – screenings available from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In the 10 years of the Spring Swing program, 4,098 baseball fans have received a free screening. Our skin cancer experts have detected 4,097 suspected cancerous lesions, including 25 suspected melanomas, which is the deadliest form of skin cancer.
