"Before I came to Moffitt, I thought there was no hope."
When tests indicated she might have ovarian cancer, Linda and her husband CJ started looking online for anything they could find on ovarian cancer treatment. After they came across a site with average survival statistics at only 15 percent, they turned the computer off.
After surgery, it was confirmed that Linda had the cancer - but she was determined not to become just a statistic.
She stayed positive, joined the Ovacome Support Group, and started R.E.N.E.W., a Moffitt survivorship program focused on healthy living. Today, her cancer is gone and she volunteers her time with patients in Moffitt's Center for Women's Oncology.
