Moffitt’s research efforts are two-fold. Interventional studies, commonly referred to as clinical trials, designed to access the outcome of an experimental drug, treatment or devices. And observational studies where researchers observe ongoing behavior in a natural context. An example of this would monitoring patients who received chemotherapy to see if there are any cognitive or behavioral changes following treatment. Researchers can then use that information to educate future patients or develop interventions to prevent it from occurring.
