Moffitt Researchers Promote Awareness of Genetic Testing and Hereditary Cancer Among Black Women

Based on a request from community partners, Moffitt researchers developed a culturally targeted educational brochure to promote awareness of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer and genetic testing in Black women.

Although the project started in response to local needs, it attained national significance. Over 23,000 brochures have been disseminated to support groups, hospitals, and clinics in 28 states.
