Overview

Dr. Sharjeel Hooda is a Clinical Instructor-Member in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Satellite and Community Oncology. Dr. Hooda is based at Moffitt International Plaza (MIP). Dr. Hooda earned his MD and MS in Clinical Research at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio; where he also served as Chief Resident in Quality and Patient Safety. Dr. Hooda completed a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida and Moffitt Cancer Center; he also served as Chief Quality Fellow in Medicine. Dr. Hooda’s clinical interests include the breadth of hematology and medical oncology with a particular focus on caring for patients with malignant hematologic disorders that encompass both acute and chronic phases of care. His academic interests are focused on improving the quality of care for patients undergoing Medical Oncology treatments, improving clinical informatics systems that support optimal patient care, and use of clinical decision support tools, including Clinical Pathways.
