Dr. Khazai earned her medical degree at the Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran, followed by a residency in surgical pathology at Vanderbilt University Medical School. She then completed two fellowships: one in cytopathology and another in breast pathology, both at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is board certified in cytopathology.
