WHO: Moffitt Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida, is joining forces with the Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning and University of South Florida Bulls.
WHAT: Moffitt is hosting its fourth-annual Mascots at Moffitt Day. Mascots from Tampa’s four major sports teams will visit the cancer center to show their support for Moffitt’s patients. The mascot lineup includes the Tampa Bay Rays’ Raymond, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Captain Fear, University of South Florida’s Rocky D. Bull and Tampa Bay Lightning’s ThunderBug.
PHOTO OP: This fearsome foursome will also lead a pep rally for Moffitt team members featuring a flash mob choreographed to Andy Grammer’s “Good To Be Alive.” Moffitt’s Wellness Program will kick off the flash mob at 12:15 p.m.
