TAMPA, Fla. — By day, Lynn Ansley serves as director of Revenue Cycle Quality, Training and System Support at Moffitt Cancer Center, where she leads and mentors a diverse team. By night, she’s an adjunct professor in accounting at the University of South Florida. And 24/7, she juggles being a wife and proud hands-on mom of sons Landon, 4, and Holden, 1.
How does this Super Mom do it all? Moffitt’s flex schedule gives her the leeway to find the right work-life balance for her family by adjusting her hours on the days she teaches. That’s just one reason why Moffitt has been selected for the ninth time as one of the 2017 Working Mother 100 Best Companies.
“Moffitt allows me the opportunity to teach college so that I can pay for my sons’ college one day,” said Ansley. “Being able to teach is something I love, and Moffitt has been really great about helping me find the balance I need.”
Moffitt is being honored as a Working Mother 100 Best Company for its strong leadership in creating progressive programs for its workforce in the areas of advancement of women, flexibility, childcare and paid parental leave.
Ansley has the honor of representing Moffitt on Oct. 24 at Working Mother’s annual Work Life Congress in New York. She will also be featured in a special Working Mother of the Year commemorative publication, which will publish in the fall.
“It is quite an honor to continuously get recognized on Working Mother magazine’s 100 Best Companies list,” said Mariana Bugallo-Muros, chief human resources officer at Moffitt. “We work very hard to provide an accommodating and flexible environment to our working mothers, and this honor tells us we’re doing something right.”
