TAMPA, Fla. – Moffitt Cancer Center Hospital President Jack Kolosky has assumed two leadership roles in two leading advocacy groups.

Kolosky, who joined Moffitt in 1999, is now the Chairman of the Florida Hospital Association (FHA). The FHA is comprised of 205 hospitals and health systems from across Florida which, through representation and advocacy, education and informational services, support the mission to provide the highest quality of care to the patients it serves.

In addition, Kolosky also assumed the role of Chairman of the Alliance of Dedicated Cancer Centers (ADCC) in early December. The 11 cancer centers that make up the ADCC are an invaluable national and international resource that is advancing the nation’s and the world’s understanding of the causes, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

“I am honored to hold such esteemed leadership roles,” Kolosky said. “This is an incredible opportunity to not only extend Moffitt’s mission to prevent and cure cancer, but to work with other organizations with similar missions for the greater good of patients around our state and country.”

Moffitt celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2016 and received several impressive designations this year. Moffitt was ranked No. 6 on DiversityInc’s 2016 Top 10 Hospitals and Health Systems list, and was designated a Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality by the Human Rights Campaign. Moffitt was also ranked No. 6 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 Best Hospitals for Cancer rankings and received a 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award in Patient Experience by Press Ganey. That award recognizes top-performing health care organizations that have consistently achieved the 95th percentile or above of performance in patient experience.
