TAMPA, Fla. — Since 2013, AutoNation and Moffitt Cancer Center have shared one vision: to drive out cancer. The automotive retailer has been doing just that as it continues to be the presenting sponsor for Miles for Moffitt. Going into its 10th consecutive year as the top sponsor, AutoNation and Moffitt continue to have one of the longest-standing partnerships through their DRVPNK (Drive Pink) initiative.

As registration for Miles for Moffitt is now open and the community prepares for another premier fundraising event, the AutoNation team is looking to make a significant impact.

“We’re leveraging all 14 AutoNation stores in the Tampa, Clearwater and St. Pete area to achieve our highest fundraising goal,” said Koehler. “Our team is all-in to make this the best year yet!”

Marc Cannon, AutoNation’s chief customer experience officer, agrees. “As our DRVPNK mission continues to accelerate companywide, associates are finding new and exciting ways of raising funds. Our customers, vendors and partners have joined in to support our initiative. Sadly, nearly everyone has been touched by cancer.”

Like the rest of the Miles for Moffitt community, the AutoNation team looks forward to the annual fundraising event each year. Their 1,500 plus associates use the time as an opportunity to get together to run, walk or show support for one common goal: funding innovative cancer research.

Going into its 17th year, Miles for Moffitt has raised more than $10 million supporting lifesaving cancer research at Moffitt. The funding also aids the cancer center in gaining millions more in additional federal support.

Register for this year’s event on Nov. 19 and join the AutoNation team in downtown Tampa. Early registration is $25 for adults and $10 for children. Those who register before July 31 will receive an early bird special gift in the mail!
